On June 29th 2020, Anhui Science and Technology Award Conference was held in Hefei. Prof. Yu Kang, from Department of Automation of University of Science and Technology of China, with his team, won the First Prize of Anhui Science and Technology Award, with the project On-line Detection Method and Comprehensive Monitoring Platform for Mobile Pollution Sources of Urban Road Network.

     To meet the urgent needs of urban air pollution control nationwide, the project has carried out in-depth research on online monitoring and comprehensive monitoring platforms for mobile pollution sources in urban road networks. The project has initiated the vertical multi-lane vehicle exhaust online remote monitoring, vehicle pollutant emission detection, diesel vehicle exhaust detection & analysis and other urban mobile air pollution source emission data acquisition technologies like real-time global environmental estimation, roadside air pollutant concentration prediction, and urban road network vehicle flow density estimation. Besides, this project also has developed the urban road network comprehensive monitoring platform for mobile pollution source emission, fulfilling the reliable screening of high-polluting emission sources and forecasting &warning of urban air pollution conditions, revealing the key features and changing laws of mobile pollution source emissions, which provides scientific and reliable numerical basis and effectively promotes the development of urban environmental pollution monitoring and management level in China.
